One of people’s favorite wedding customs is exchanging handwritten letters with your partner the morning of the wedding when jitters start to sink in and you’re checking the last things off the wedding to-do list. This exchange replaces spending the whole morning with the loved person, allowing the two of you to get ready (and glammed up) separately before your first glance and taking the first step toward a successful marriage. Here’s an example of a letter before wedding.
My dearest {Name},
As our wedding day approaches, I find myself filled with so many emotions. Excitement, happiness, love, and of course, a few nerves! Out of everything that I’m feeling, though, love is by far the strongest. I am so deeply in love with you, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
There are really no words that can fully describe how much I love and adore you. You are everything that I have ever wanted in a partner and more. You make me laugh, you make me feel loved, and you have completely stolen my heart. I cannot wait to marry you and spend the rest of my life with you.
On our wedding day, I will be pledging my love to you for all eternity. I am so excited to become your wife and to start this wonderful journey with you. I know that together we can overcome anything life throws our way. I love you from the bottom of my heart, and I cannot wait to be your wife.
With all of my love, {Name}
