Here is a simple template you can use to write a letter to ask for a raise.

Dear [name],

I am sorry to say I am not quite satisfied with what I am currently getting. I come to work every single day and do all the tasks given to me. I have never disappointed anybody as I get along with everyone.

I am dedicated in meeting tight deadlines. I go the extra mile in doing extra stuff that aren’t my tasks. I work overtime just to finish all my tasks for each day. I dress nice each day in order to set an example for everyone.

I always smile even during days when I’m totally stressed. I always arrive on time. In addition, I teach the new hires so they would know what to do and how to do it correctly.

There is no reason why I don’t deserve a raise. I worked long and hard in this company to not get one. Just like most people in our company, I have kids to feed. Thus, it is time to do what is right and that is to increase my salary. I know I’m not the only one who deserves it but I definitely do.
